Expensive Homes

So, there are no new homes that fit our house search criteria this week, so we drove around and took a few photos of more expensive homes to get a feel of what value is being placed on houses in the area.

We found two in nice neighborhoods, but not in easy walking distance of downtown (more than 30 blocks away).

These are both in the $450,000 price range (eek!!!):

Expensive House #1
$464,000

This house is in a "California style" neighborhood Northwest of OSU.
The streets are hilly and sunny with scattered trees,
and the houses are big pacific ranches that sprawl
over well-manicured grounds.

Unfortunately, the house and driveway are so large,
the yard is relatively small.

Expensive House #2
$464,000

This is located directly West of OSU, in the "professor" neighborhood.
The streets are quiet and lined with unique traditional houses.

This house has a nice yard, garage on the alley, and a picket fence.
Unfortunately the interior looked dark in its brochure.

Well, these were not as impressive as we thought they would be for almost double the price!!

More (less expensive) homes coming soon...
