Also, if you are living in town I could see Mark dropping me off after work on weekdays, and we can visit, and then I can run home (I used to do that two or three times a week from school), and maybe we could have a regular date on Saturday morning when Mark is biking and I have the car, to grocery shop, nursery hop, whatever. And then of course, all three of us can have outings (coast, Portland, the Cascades, etc.).
